This assignment had us create an advertisement for umbrellas, marketed towards teachers. Our producer felt that the easiest umbrella to market to a teacher would be a studio umbrella marketed towards photography teachers. This was a good experience for writing, shooting, and editing content on a very tight schedule. We are in no way affiliated with PROFOTO or their products.
This project had us creating a PSA for something we felt was important. Our producer drew inspiration from British cartoon PSAs. Working with this group was incredibly fun, and we all were able to work together very efficiently to put this together. I was able to learn a lot about working under a producer as well as working with actors.
Producing this trailer was certainly one of my hardest assignments. Working with an extremely limited crew, we had to do our best with what we had. Ultimately, it was a great experience and I was able to work with a group that had a lot of passion for the project.
This was my first video project I produced during my time at UW-Madison. The assignment was to create a public service announcement with under one minute of runtime. The PSA needed to have impact, and could not have any direct narration. I learned many valuable lessons over the course of filming and editing, and I believe this project served well as my first step into my videography career.
This assignment had myself and a partner working together to generate a documentary on any topic of interest. We had the amazing opportunity to interview and film Marquez and Nathan Green, the UW-Twinjas. Producing a documentary comes with a variety of new challenges, and I believe the project did well to expose us to a different kind of filmmaking.
This project had myself and two other partners creating a fiction short. We chose to write a horror/comedy skit. Working with a group allowed us to each focus more on our individual responsibilities, but also presented their own sets of challenges. Overall, I found this project very educational.
